Cluny Tapestry Rabbit

I started a new cross stitch project a few days ago and decided that it might be a good time to start a blog to keep track of some of my ongoing projects.

I have always admired the detail and amount of time put into intricate Medieval tapestries, and since I have some time right now, wanted to do a smaller project to see if it's something I want to delve into more ambitiously. I have also been feeling in a bit of an artistic rut recently, and am hoping a guided project will help inspire more creativity.

The design I chose is a detail of the late 1400th century Cluny Tapestries, Lady with Unicorn. The design is by Scarlet quince.

Pattern : http://www.scarletquince.com/pat.php?pat=UNK014-D2

126 x 153 stitches, 9"x11", using DMC floss on an offwhite evenweave cotton fabric.

The amount of colours needed was a bit intimidating when I got all of them out, wish me luck!
